Nos dice el Profeta Toffler<\/a> de forma directa y sin encomendarse a nadie al preguntarle sobre la m\u00e1s importante necesidad del sistema educativo:<\/p>\n

Hay que dejar de hablar de reformas bobas que no han producido ning\u00fan cambio. Tenemos que inventar un nuevo sistema que sea relevante a nuestros estudiantes y que est\u00e9 a tono con las realidades del siglo 21. <\/p>\n
Y si lo nombraran Secretario del Departamento de Educaci\u00f3n lo primero que Toffler dir\u00eda ser\u00eda:<\/p>\n

\u00abI want to hear something I haven’t heard before.\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Se hace lo mismo una y otra vez, esperando obtener los cambios que necesitamos. Hacen falta nuevos acercamientos, modelos diferentes de hacer las cosas y fomentar la innovaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n
Y al preguntarle sobre cu\u00e1l ser\u00eda su escuela ideal Toffler responde: <\/p>\n

It’s open twenty-four hours a day. Different kids arrive at different times. They don’t all come at the same time, like an army. They don’t just ring the bells at the same time. They’re different kids. They have different potentials. Now, in practice, we’re not going to be able to get down to the micro level with all of this, I grant you, but in fact, I would be running a twenty-four-hour school, I would have nonteachers working with teachers in that school, I would have the kids coming and going at different times that make sense for them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Y a pesar de que Toffler no lo menciona como tal, pienso en la educaci\u00f3n a distancia como una modalidad ideal para conseguir el cambio radical que necesitamos. Mediante la misma podemos tener la escuela abierta 24 horas al d\u00eda, atender las necesidades diversas de nuestros estudiantes e individualizar los ofrecimientos de tal manera que podamos lograr que nuestros estudiantes sientan pasi\u00f3n y amor por el aprendizaje. Como se\u00f1ala Toffler:<\/p>\n
