En los Estados Unidos la gente&nbsp; ve unas 200 billones de horas de televisi\u00f3n al a\u00f1o. M\u00e1s a\u00fan, se pierden unas 100 millones de horas viendo los anuncios de TV en los fines de semana. \u00bfY que tal si una parte peque\u00f1a de ese tiempo utilizado para estar frente a la pantalla de la Tele se invierte en producir contenido para la Internet? Como declara&nbsp; de forma contundente Shirky, \u00abes mejor hacer algo que no hacer nada\u00bb. <\/p>\n<p>Algunos puntos de esta charla que ameritan reflexi\u00f3n: <\/p>\n<p>1. Se calcula que la Wikipedia es producto de unas 100 millones de horas de trabajo. As\u00ed que con el tiempo que se invierte en ver TV en los EU se podr\u00edan desarollar unos 2,000 proyectos similares a la Wikipedia. <\/p>\n<p>2. \u00abLet&#8217;s say that everything stays 99 percent the same, that people watch 99 percent as much television as they used to, but 1 percent of that is carved out for producing and for sharing. The Internet-connected population watches roughly a trillion hours of TV a year. That&#8217;s about five times the size of the annual U.S. consumption. One per cent of that&nbsp; is 100 Wikipedia projects per year worth of participation<em>.\u00bb<\/em>&nbsp; Yo me&nbsp; ha acostumbrado tanto al aspecto participativo de la Internet que encuentro la TV muy pasiva y en varias ocasiones tiene para mi efectos somn\u00edferos. Maybe she&#8217;s going back there to see if Dora is really back there or whatever. But that wasn&#8217;t what she was doing. She started rooting around in the cables.
