Desde ese momento decidi\u00f3 publicar en BBC un diario sobre su lucha contra el c\u00e1ncer.  Durante ese tiempo tuvo la experiencia de ver nacer a uno de sus hijos y tambi\u00e9n enfrentarse al  diagn\u00f3stico de c\u00e1ncer de su padre.  Su diario represent\u00f3 un aliento y apoyo para aquellos  que confrontaban la enfermedad y para sus familiares.  Su valent\u00eda lo llev\u00f3 a vivir plenamente su \u00faltima etapa de la vida.<\/p>\n<p>Mi pap\u00e1 y mam\u00e1 murieron de c\u00e1ncer. Asi que conozco  c\u00f3mo esta condici\u00f3n impacta a sus  v\u00edctimas y a su familia.  S\u00e9 lo terrible que es ver a un ser querido apagarse poco a poco. S\u00e9 lo que significa el sentirse completamente impotente ya que lo \u00fanico que podemos hacer es esperar la  muerte y acompa\u00f1arlos en ese  dolor espantoso.
