Me imagino que todos los amigos que visitan este blog ya han instalado el nuevo navegador de Google, Chrome, y están disfrutando de su rapidez, funciones y apariencia. Lo que tal vez mucha gente se pregunte es porque Google escogió el nombre de “chrome. Pues la respuesta a este interrogante está en el más reciente disco de Neil Young que por cierto se llama “Chrome Dreams”. ¿Cuáles son los sueños de Google con este nuevo navegador? Pues encontramos la respuesta en una de las canciones de Chrome Dreams llamada apropiadamente “The Way”. Pues no me cabe duda que “The Way” tiene que ser la canción tema del navegador Chrome. Asi que junto a Google podemos cantar:

No lo he instalado todavía ni probado, pero lo haré en breve. Me encanta Google y su filosofía de vida y creatividad. No me cabe la menor duda que entre Firefox y Google se está creando una competitividad que podría hacerle bien a ambas. O destruir a Firefox, lo que sería muy malo, probablemente.
En efecto, lo negativo de la Googlemania es que Google se convierta en un monopolio. No me gusta mucho el hecho de que no importa lo que hagamos en el mundo informático, antes o después no tenemos alternativas y tenemos que toparnos con G. Así que no estoy tan seguro de que Google Chrome me llevará de vuelta a casa…!
