Me ha ocurrido en algunas ocasiones que estoy escribiendo una entrada directamente en mi blog, la computadora tiene un crash y pierdo todo lo que escribí. Para evitar esto he instalado un plugin llamado Autosave, el cual graba en los cookies lo que voy escribiendo y si no lo publico o lo grabo, no lo pierdo. Al entrar de nuevo a escribir una nueva entrada, recibo el anuncio de si quiero recobrar la entrada o eliminarla. Esto es lo que llamo un plugin práctico.

Usa una Mac y no tendrás ningún crash.
y no es mas facil escribir todo en algun word y luego al terminar hacer un copy paste?

Es una alternativa pero no es lo más fácil ya que tienes que abrir el procesador de palabras, escribir la entradas, hacer el copy, ir a la sección de Admin en WP y hacer el paste.
El plugin no te resguarda en casos de crash, sino que especialmente contra time-outs y desconexiones. Lo digo porque lo he estado probando y creo que funciona especialmente cuando has ejecutado alguna acción en la página de escritura (como los casos mencionados antes) pero no cuando cierras el navegador o presionas los botones adelante/atrás del navegador (que es lo que me suele ocurrir)
