James Farms anuncia el lanzamiento del servicio de pago WPMUDEV Premium : una versión del servicio gratuito WPMUDEV , que tendrá plugins, temas y apoyo exclusivo para los miembros. Por ahora cuentan con pocos recursos pero irán añadiendo nuevos recursos. Farms justifica el proyecto de la siguiente manera:
Sure, in an ideal world we’d like to be releasing all of this for free, but an *enormous* amount of time has gone into developing it and we’d like to get a system going whereby we can actually support ourselves (and eventually others?) in providing an equal amount of ongoing development and support… while being able to afford to eat.
Y tiene toda la razón: hay que buscar maneras de apoyar a las personas que dan de su tiempo para el desarrollo de estos proyectos. Lo único que me preocupa es que este tipo de proyecto tenga un impacto en relación a los recursos que se puedan obtener de forma gratuita. Ahora la primera pregunta al desarrollar un tema o plugin para WPMU puede ser si es gratuita o premium.
De todas maneras, nos parece una iniciativa muy valiosa y le deseamos mucho éxito.

Thanks for the good wishes and constructive thoughts Mario, much appreciated, we hope to be releasing more free stuff than before (because we can devote more time to it) and, as ever, anyone can contribute anything to the regular WPMUDEV site.
